Abece de Yoga para Ninos: excerpts from the upcoming Spanish translation of The ABCs of Yoga for Kids

The ABCs of Yoga for Kids will soon be out in Spanish! Here is an excerpt from Abece de Yoga para Ninos:

Airplane = Avion
 Soy un avion
dirigiendose al cielo.
Levanto el pecho, los brazoz y las piernas
y luego vuelo.

  2. For how long should a kid keep a pose? 3 year old and 10 year old. Is it the same for everyone?
    Thank you.

  3. Actually, the time for a child to hold a pose depends not only on their age, but also how long they have been doing yoga. To start off, all children should hold the poses for a shorter period of time and gradually build up to holding it longer. For instance, with children ages 3-6 I have them hold the poses for a slow count of 10. As their bodies get used to the poses the hold time increases. Older kids (10 year olds) can definitely hold the postures longer.
