Happy Easter!

This month of March brings not only Easter but also the advent of spring.

A fun Easter yoga pose to try is the Rabbit posture (sasangasana).

Some of the benefits of the Rabbit pose include:
  • stretching the spine
  • improving digestion
  • eliminating tension from the upper back and neck
  • improving the immune system.
The exact origin of the Easter Bunny is unclear, but rabbits are an ancient symbol of fertility and new life.

Rabbit Posture

With my upper body on my thighs
I put my head on the floor.
I am a rabbit who loves to explore.
I reach back to hold my feet
Doing yoga is such a treat!
Firmly holding my heels
I lift my back and round it to the sky.
With my forehead close to my knees
I exhale and let out a sigh.
